Common questions and answers

What does Ecobuild do?

Ecobuild is a building and project-coordination company. We assess enquiries, prepare and control quotations, organise employed staff and subcontracted specialist teams, and manage the customer journey through to completion.

Who is my contract with?

Your contract is with Ecobuild and payments for the agreed work are made to Ecobuild. The people attending may be Ecobuild employees or subcontracted teams working within the Ecobuild project structure.

Who provides the quotation?

Ecobuild prepares and controls the customer quotation. It describes the proposed scope and relevant assumptions or exclusions.

What happens if the work changes?

Proposed variations are reviewed through Ecobuild. We explain the effect on the scope, price or timing and seek approval before additional chargeable work proceeds, subject to the final contract terms.

Is there any commitment when I request a quote?

Submitting an enquiry does not commit you to proceed with building work. Ecobuild assesses the request and explains the next step. Any charge connected with a visit or survey will be stated before you agree to it.

What work does Ecobuild cover?

Our current services include bathrooms, kitchens, renovations and refurbishment, extensions and loft conversions, roofing and property repairs. We also consider maintenance and larger commercial building enquiries.

Do you work with landlords and commercial clients?

Yes. Ecobuild works with homeowners, landlords, letting agents, property-management companies and commercial clients.

Do you provide an emergency service?

We assess urgent plumbing, electrical and similar property-repair enquiries and arrange the most suitable available team. We do not currently advertise a guaranteed attendance time or a 24/7 service.

Where does Ecobuild work?

Our core service area is the West Midlands. We may consider larger projects further afield after reviewing the location, scope and delivery requirements.
